About Robert

Robert Higgs works with schools and local education authorities nationally. He began his Anti-Bullying work on his own initiative after experiencing bullying himself at school. He is now the author of two books - What Have I Ever Done To You? and Matty Doyle's Monster and has written and produced several plays on bullying, including BANGED OUT and THE BOY IN THE PHOTOGRAPH, which premiered at Leicester Haymarket Theatre for Anti-Bullying Week 2005 in Leicestershire schools. His other plays include: CLASS OF 2005, Untouchable, Gay, The Lobster and Trapped.

Robert provides Anti-Bullying presentations for KIDSCAPE and THE ANTHONY MCLELLAN PRACTICE and has previously been employed as the Anti-Bullying Development Officer for Leicestershire County Council. In addition to his private work he is now in post as Anti-Bullying Co-ordinator for Bracknell Forest and has been involved in a wide range of Anti-Bullying projects and partnership work.

He has written for Teacher Magazine, Martial Arts Illustrated and Combat and has featured in mainstream media on many occasions, most notably on Radio 1, Radio 2, Sky News, BBC Breakfast, BBC 7 and Carlton TV. Robert has several books, plays and films in development.

Robert Higgs is a member of the Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA).
